Suspension
Keeping The Power Where It Belongs
Suspension is arguably the greatest cause in our quest to go faster. Suspension isn't on the vehicle to make your ride more enjoyable, it's there to control the transfer of weight. Controlling the transfer of weight allows you to keep the tyres in contact with the ground, creating traction and driving you forward faster. Many of our customers who came in looking for more power went away happy, having spent less and achieved the same result.
And after you have taken the standard suspension as far as it can go you can look into upgrades. The starting point here is your spring rates. Springs hold you and your bike at a predetermined height to allow the forks and shocks to use their full rate of travel. If your spring rates are wrong you have very little hope getting a good setup through clicker adjustment or revalving.
On the hydraulic side of the system there are endless combinations of upgrades - cartridge kits, valving, shim stack changes and all the way to replacement of the complete unit. As with virtually everything else, these changes should be personalised to your needs and budget. We can offer a base setting for you to work with and you can download a handy setup guide from our DOCUMENTS page. As always, talk to us about your needs and we will suggest an appropriate path to follow.
