Type Nitrous Oxide into Wikipedia and this is what you get -
"Nitrous oxide (dinitrogen oxide or dinitrogen monoxide), commonly known as laughing gas, nitrous, nitro, or nos is a chemical compound, an oxidehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrogen_oxideofhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nitrogen_oxidenitrogen with the formula N2O. At room temperature, it is a colourless non-flammable gas, and has a slightly sweet scent and taste. At elevated temperatures, nitrous oxide is a powerful oxidiser similar to molecular oxygen."
Here at Titan we know it as - "only the brave". Inject a combination of nitrous and fuel into an internal combustion engine and your daily ride becomes your Sunday beast. NOS, as it's commonly known, has the ability to add instant horsepower at the press of a button. On a single cylinder 700cc you can easily gain 15HP - 20HP. That may not sound a lot but when you think that the standard engine only produces approximately 45HP the gain looks more impressive, nearly 50% more!
Over the past several months we have been working with our friends at Nitrous Express to develope kits suitable for application in Quad's, UTV's and Buggies. The kits will start at 10HP shots and work up to 40HP+ dependent on engine configuration and state of tune. Standard engines will only remain reliable up to a certain HP and even then there is always the possibility of engine damage with this style of modification. To gain greater improvements would require the engine to be rebuilt using specialised parts, specifically within the crank/piston area.
It's also a good idea to upgrade your chain (& sprockets if required) as the HP shot is instant once you press the button and that puts a lot of load on the chain. We would recommend a minimum 520 pitch chain of heavy duty construction, do not use light weight racing chains. For those vehicles fitted with a CVT (belt drive) we would strongly suggest upgrading the clutch to avoid adverse wear on the drive belt. Large capacity CVT engines are notorious for eating belts in standard trim so an upgrade is all but a "must have".
So ..... would you like to tame the kick in the pants the press of a button can supply? Head over to our contacts page, fill in the details and in the message section simply write - "Please send nitrous brochure" - and we'll get it to you within 24 hours. If you'd like a quote specific to your ride simply add to the message the following -
1, Make & Model
2, Engine Capacity - (cc's)
3, Modifications to engine, exhaust or intake, including fuel controllers
4, How many hours/miles has the engine currently done
The more information you supply the more specific we can be with our quote
